About the Event

This workshop is for anyone that is involved in a networking or leads group and needs help refining their "Ask".

So you are at your networking or leads meeting and it's your time to give your 30  (or 60) second Ask. Most professionals don't think ahead of time and roll off the cuff what they want to say (totally guilty of this). This strategy isn't always the best as you are only seeing these professionals once or twice a month and they need to be able to refer to you.

The more specific you can be, the more they can help you!  But how do you know what to say, breaking it down and simplifying it so there aren't a lot of questions afterwards. Think of your networking group as your sales force. The more detailed descriptive that you can give them of what you're looking for, the better.

In this workshop, Mindy Cook will be teaching strategies, marketing and niching down. You HAVE to know your ideal client to be able to answer the question "so what do you do?" from there we can dive in get your "Ask" down.

What you will learn:

- What a niche is and how to figure out what yours is.

- Understand what a COI is and how to leverage this in your Ask.

- Stand out from others that are in your profession and know what to say other than "I do hair" or " I am looking for anyone that wants to buy or sell a house" or even "Shoot, I didn't think about this ahead of time, um, I need to do 5 more auto quotes this week I'd like the opportunity to quote any of yours".

- Q & A - if time allows.

Why do you need to have your ask down?

If you (or your boss) is paying for a membership to be in a group and renewal is coming up - your boss is going to be looking at the bottom line, ROI. The best way to give a good ROI is by having a killer, memorable Ask at your meetings.

Meet The Presenter:

Mindy Cook had previously led a women's professional networking organization for 9 years and owned the organization for 7 of those years. This organization grew to 5 chapters and had an exective board that oversaw these chapters. Through the success of this unique business, Mindy saw a lot of growth however after a career change, Mindy decided to sell the business to an executive board member in 2015. Mindy founded Paratus Network in 2019 after moving to a new area and finding that there wasn't any networking or referrals opportunites for women in the area. After a 3 hour brainstorming session at the beach, she created Paratus Network.

Throughout her career in insurance, finance, sales training and consulting, Mindy has coached hundreds of sales reps on the art of their "Ask" and understanding what to say when someone asks them "What do you do?".
